At LifeSource Fertility Center we specialize in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (RE&I). Our infertility diagnosis and treatment includes a full range of options including IVF, Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer (GIFT), Zygote Intrafallopian Transfer (ZIFT), ovulation induction or stimulation and inseminations. In addition, we diagnose and treat a wide range of other gynecologic problems including recurring pregnancy loss, endometriosis, menstrual irregularities, hirsutism (excess body hair), and pelvic pain.
In order to create a strong doctor - patient relationship, Dr. Gianfortoni has purposefully limited the number of patients he works with at LifeSource. We are dedicated to our patients receiving individualized attention, both emotional and physical. Dr. G. performs every consultation, ultrasound, treatment plan, IVF retrieval and transfer.
What to expect at your initial visit: At your initial consultation, you and your partner will spend at least 1 ½ to 2 hours face to face with Dr. G. discussing the causes of infertility and reviewing your past records and diagnostic tests. You will also undergo a complete GYN examination and transvaginal ultrasound at this visit. When you leave the office, you will have a plan of treatment in your hand that details each step of your treatment program.
Since infertility is often not covered as a benefit, we are a "cost conscious" practice. Because of our commitment to helping couples overcome infertility problems, LifeSource’s costs for IVF are among the lowest in the country. As a courtesy, we will file claims with your insurance carrier. We participate with most HMO and Managed Care products. Our Business Manager will verify your insurance benefits, and you will have the opportunity to discuss any insurance questions with her in depth at your initial visit.
